SCoRCHeR FeST is a live music festival where local bands, touring bands and artists can promote and showcase themselves and
audiences experience a day of live entertainment and discovery.
SCoRCHeR FeST traditionally has between 10 to 50 bands & 1 to 5 stages. SCoRCHeR is open to receive applications from
bands and acts from all genres and backgrounds. The festival also welcomes other forms of entertainment, including comedy,
Dj Vj’s, magic, dance performances and welcomes local product displays and sales, with the core being live entertainment.
It is a great way for performers to network, treat their following to a well priced festival, develop wider audiences, and make a good dollar from their efforts.
The Festival Structure
Successful artists pay the bond of $275 within 2 weeks of being selected to play. If 50 or more people come to see them, they receive their bond back, as well as their $10 per person through the door. For 60 people, bands receive $600 plus their bond back, for 30 people, bands receive $300. For 100 people, artists receive $1000 plus their bond back. Bands also receive 12 VIP free entry passes. Collection of money occurs on the day at the end of the festival.
The official flyer is emailed to the artist, and can be emailed to mailing lists, cut & pasted into myspace, facebook, websites or where ever you can be found or you direct people. Flyers can also be printed & photo copied as often as you or the potential audience likes. An official SMS is sent to the performers to forward on giving the same discount.
Recipients of the flyer gain entry for $15 instead of $25 as their incentive. All under 18’s receive $10 entry of which band receive $5.
This structure works well for bands/acts that are looking to forward themselves & make a good dollar.
